Noelle Garcia is now Noelle Garcia McHugh! She recently married fellow youth and music minister David McHugh and currently resides with him in Michigan where they recently celebrated the arrival of their son, Damien Robert. With the arrival of her baby boy, Noelle has decided to step back from full-time parish Youth Ministry, and is now a part-time Music Director at Most Holy Trinity Parish in Fowler, MI. She plans to pursue more of her national music and speaking ministry.
Noelle was born in Texas, but moved up to Lansing, Michigan from Memphis, Tennessee in 2006. She got her start in a career in music ministry when she met WLP artist John Angotti who was the music director at her home parish. The two began writing songs together, “We Will Be the Light” and “Light of the World”, then Noelle started some writing of her own. She has a degree in Human Development from Christian Brothers University and has worked in youth and music ministry since 1999. Noelle has performed all over the country, including New York, Tennessee, Texas, Iowa, Illinois and also performed internationally at World Youth Day in Sydney, Australia. Some of her venues have included the National Youth Ministry Conferences and the NPM Conference. Noelle also appeared in the 2009 CNN documentary, “Latino in America” sharing her music and testimony. Noelle hopes her own testimony and faith journey through workshops and music will encourage teens who struggle with these issues to turn to the Lord.
Other talks include: Personal Testimonials, Trusting in God – “Let Go, Let God”, It’s Great to Be a Girl, The Triduum and Our Relationship with Christ, Theology of the Body, The Eucharist, and many, many more!
Noelle also performs frequently with her husband – a guitarist and drummer. The husband and wife team enjoy sharing their faith in lots of laughs, prayer, and music!
Noelle hopes to inspire her listeners to be who they are called to be for then “…you will set the world ablaze” — St. Catherine of Siena.
